Yunus Musah spent four years at Valencia, where he became a professional.

Tonight, he was visibly emotional as he walked out wearing a shirt in support of Valencia— which has been rocked by flooding.

Then, Musah put in a solid shift as AC Milan beat Real Madrid 3-1. 🙌🏾

Musah left the Arsenal academy in 2019 for the Valencia academy. It was a risky move but a calculated one where he knew it would suit his development better.

He was 16 when he arrived in Valencia, and he instantly fell in love with the warmth of the city and its people.

Musah would get his first taste of La Liga football in 2020 and the rest, they say, is history.

Unfortunately, his heart has been heavy this past few days as Valencia was hit with Storm DANA— causing floods that have killed more than 200 people with at least a thousand missing.

Both Madrid and Milan gave tribute to the city of Valencia and its victims tonight with their shirts. 

Musah would then play 91 minutes, where he was excellent in containing Madrid’s star-studded midfield.

This was his first return to Spain since leaving Valencia in 2023.

Musah has just shared this message on Instagram.

“On top of football and anything else today, I want to send a message of strength and encouragement to Valencia. A land and a club that I carry in my heart, and they are going through a very difficult situation.”

“You have my full support and we will come back stronger. We’re winning this game TOGETHER!”
