Josh Sargent will miss this international window, and is expected to out for the remainder of 2024 due to a groin injury.

He missed the game on Saturday for Norwich. Manager Johannes Hoff Thorup then confirmed Sargent needs surgery and will be out for at least eight weeks.

“It’s not the ideal scenario for anybody. We have options and possibilities for other players to come in,” he said.

Sargent has four goals and five assists for Norwich so far this season, but his injury issues aren’t anything new.

The striker only made his first start for the USMNT since the 2022 World Cup last month, when he started against Panamá.

Because of injuries, he has only been in two USMNT camps in last two years. He only managed to play 22 minutes in total in the Copa América— coming in as a late sub because he wasn’t fully match fit.
