🤩 SPORT CLUB SPOTLIGHT featuring Club Softball 🥎 Club highlights:
➔ The team had been practicing all spring before finally being cleared to travel and face other teams several weeks ago.
➔ They describe themselves as relaxed and goofy but able to get competitive when they are ready to play.
➔ Led by a group of young freshman players, Softball looks to continue to work to improve against some tough ACC competition over the next several years.

Mic'd Up with Softball 🎤

President Renee Rodgers: “Softball for me is a big stress reliever, so to be able to come out in the middle of a pandemic and play is just a chance to escape reality. It’s just my teammates, the field, the softball and I, it’s just a great feeling.”

Program Director Zoe Kalantzis: “I think the team aspect is something that I missed coming in especially freshman year because I didn’t play that first semester. I kind of missed the team bonding and being able to go out with a group of girls and play a sport that we all love.”

Freshman Katie Foust: “We’re all very tough and business-like, but we also are very relaxed and goofy and know when to turn the switch on and off. We're also very supportive of one another so we need to keep each other accountable while also being good teammates.”
