Colorado voters appear to have thwarted a proposed hunting ban Tuesday, according to unofficial election results from the Secretary of State. 

Although the most recent polling had Coloradans evenly split over the issue, the results at press time showed Prop 127 failing by a margin of roughly 11 percent. Several counties were still reporting as of Tuesday night, but if those numbers hold, they will show that the majority of Colorado voters heeded the concerns voiced by the state’s hunters, conservationists, and wildlife experts.
