"As the first in my family to attend a four-year university, my parents and I were learning along the way. This seemed daunting at first, but luckily Susquehanna University has been a place where I’ve found the guidance and support that I needed to ensure I felt educated and ready to take the next step into my future.

Susquehanna has provided me with the resources to not only succeed but to thrive. The versatility of a liberal arts education has allowed me to be a student-athlete, add a major, spend a semester abroad and be involved in various extracurriculars.

This supportive environment has truly empowered me to overcome challenges and allowed me to follow my own path, knowing that I have people behind me who believe in my potential. Being a first-generation college student is a reflection of my parents' hard work and sacrifices that have given me the opportunities they didn't have, and I am forever proud to be their daughter."
