#WalterMosley, Esq., who is representing #Plies in his lawsuit against #SouljaBoy, #MeganTheeStallion, and #GloRilla, is speaking out following backlash the rapper received due to the timing of the suit following the election. Mosley responded to producer #LilJuMadeDaBeat’s claims that Megan and Glo took the proper protocols to sample the song.

Mosley spoke to tmz_tv, calling it a bad game of telephone on the misinformation hotline. He also said musicologists determined the sample came from Plies’ ‘Me & My Goons,’ so the lawsuit is on for now unless anyone’s ready to settle!

In addition, Mosley suggests Plies had a good faith agreement with Soulja Boy, but that’s since run its course since ‘Wanna Be’ was released. He assured tmz_tv that the lawsuit has been months in the making, and his legal team has a capable Black woman leading the charge on this case. Mosley also said “This lawsuit isn’t a strategically timed attack on Black women. Plies has said a lot of meaningful and important things in support of black women.” He explained, “This is a lawsuit where the first name up who has the actually pockets here is Universal Music Group.
