The tiger sought out by Louisiana Gov. Jeff Landry entered Tiger Stadium just prior to kickoff for Saturday's LSU-Alabama game, and then the big cat, in its cage, was quickly taken back off the field.⁠

While the lights were down inside the stadium prior to the game, the tiger was towed in a cage to the sideline by a truck before the 6:45 p.m. kickoff. Once the lights were turned back on, the tiger could be seen laying down in a cage typically used by Mike the Tiger. A few moments later, the tiger walked around the cage, and some cheers were heard from the crowd.⁠

After about seven minutes on the field, the tiger was removed before both teams charged out of the tunnels for the big SEC contest.⁠

The tiger's visit was a controversial one, as many LSU fans and others felt a stadium with thousands of people cheering was no place for an exotic animal.⁠
