Condon will direct Eddie Murphy in a currently untitled biopic of Parliament-Funkadelic architect George Clinton. Clinton founded the iconic funk collective in the 1960s. The group of musicians, complete with far-out aesthetics that evoke Sun-Ra and an emphasis on Black creative freedom, became an Afrofuturist touchstone in 1970s pop culture.⁠
