Meet Jerald Scott, known to many as J. Scott. Born and raised in Houston, TX, J. Scott grew up with a dream shared by many young athletes: to one day reach the highest level of basketball. But his journey took an unexpected and life-altering turn after a motorcycle accident led to the amputation of his leg above the knee, along with other serious injuries. For years, he found it hard to even look at the game he once loved, staying away from basketball while wrestling with self-doubt and uncertainty about his future.

Yet, J. Scott’s love for basketball never truly faded. Through resilience and faith, he found the courage to ask himself: Could I still make an impact? Could I help others, even if my approach was different? The answer was a resounding yes. Against the odds, J. Scott stepped back onto the court, determined to show that his disability would not limit his ability to inspire and guide others.

Today, J. Scott has become a powerful force in the lives of young athletes of all ages, helping them sharpen their skills and strengthen their mindsets.
