Because chances are they never stepped foot off of the resort. πŸ€·πŸΎβ€β™€οΈ πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ After living in Mexico for an entire year, and visiting many times since, I can safely say that the country is extremely UNDERRATED when it comes to culture, landscapes, and history! πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ Mexico is an extremely diverse country and, while people often reduce it to 2 or 3 cities, it’s comprised of 32 states and is actually incredibly vast (in terms of area, it’s the 13th largest country in the entire world). πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ Mexico may be known for its beaches and resorts, but the truth is that there are so many other stunning natural wonders to behold here, like cenotes. πŸ‡²πŸ‡½ Cenotes are basically large sinkholes or caves that have filled with water over time and are found throughout the states of Yucatan and Quintana Roo.
