[#PrayerAtBC] Our new Campus Minister for Retreats, Grace Davis, shared on how she finds spiritual comfort in this Mary Oliver poem.

“Mary Oliver’s poem, Wild Geese, has grounded me throughout various seasons in my life. Amidst the daily routines and rhythms of life, this poem continually serves as a reminder to be attentive to the beauty and love each day holds, especially within the natural world. 

When feeling lost or disconnected, Mary’s words remind me of the freedom that is found when I am able to let go of social constructs of what it means to be “good” and to lean into “my place within the family of things.” The wild geese continually bring me back to a place where I can listen to the voice within — a place where I am inspired and encouraged by community, compassion, and connection.”
