Misconceptions can sometimes be hurtful, tricky and silly. ➡️Unfortunately they exist EVERYWHERE and will NEVER go away.

➡️They usually come from lack of knowledge, education and exposure. 💕Misconceptions are everywhere it seems about the deaf/hard of hearing community ...AND they also exist regarding audiologists! 

➡️I've been straight up told that I'm not a real doctor, that my job won't exist in a few years (15 years later I'm still here) and even that it's a fake profession addressing "nothing substantial." 🤯
