🙌 REAL TALK 🙌

A few weeks ago, Sully was diagnosed with spondylosis. The staff at centralanimalhospitalsavannah have been so helpful in calming my fears, and after all the worries that come with that diagnosis, I realized - we can do this!

I promptly went online and bought ramps for my car (2 ramps at a total of 36ish inches wide make Sully feel more comfortable), and he wore his wagwear shoes both inside and outside the house so he felt like he could get a better grip on the ground. I spoke with several of my wolfhound mentors to get their take on the situation and get their recommendations about all the things - acupuncture, chiropractic care, Chinese herbal medicines, etc. - there was nothing I wasn't willing to try to help my guy get back into tip top shape. I learned the right way to help a dog who's bigger than me get onto his feet (I joke that I better be jacked after this!).

One of the best things we have found though, is the staff at fetchcaninerehab. I owe them a lot - they were able to put together a plan to get Sully back into fighting shape, and for that I am forever grateful. He has been to physical therapy a couple of times now, and the work they have done with him (including hydrotherapy) has made a world of difference. He's still not 100% BUT he doesn't have to wear the shoes all day long, he's able to get up by himself, and best of all, he isn't in as much pain. We have been able to decrease his meds a little since he just doesn't need as much.

I am so thankful to our little community both here and in real life, and I can't wait to see how physical therapy continues to help my guy get his strength back 💪
