On Saturday, October 26, I shot 
#concertforcarolina for Bank of America Stadium in which lukecombs , ericchurchmusic and Mr. and Mrs Tepper put on to raise money for our Western North Carolinas whose homes, towns and in some instances lives, were destroyed as a result of #hurricanehelene .

On Friday, October 25, the day before the concert, I went to those mountains and was able to go out on a well check with the rescue and recovery team at generationavl and Restoration Church in Swannanoa and document that destruction that they raised money for. Here is that story….

I had been going up to help document for the past three weeks how people from all over our country were just packing their bags and raising money to go help in any way they could. When I arrived at the command center that day, I talked to command leader Ryan about going out on a well check to document how they are physically going out to help people and he said yeah, I want to put you with someone I trust that has 4-wheel drive.  Across the table a gentleman in a cowboy hat and vest named Robert spoke up without hesitation and said, “I’ll take her out.” 

Before I go on, I want to say how the ‘without hesitation’ part speaks about all the people who are there just do wherever there is a need. No matter what it takes, they are willing to give of their time, their vehicles, their skills - their dedication to helping those in need is something on a whole different level. They are the ‘Boots on the Ground’ and the heartbeat of the recovery efforts. (Continue story in comment section below…. ⬇️)
