FAREWELL TO FOOTBALL SEASON: The @mhs_bluebrigade class of 2025 said goodbye to the football season last weekend as the 2024 season came to a close with a Friday night varsity victory over district rival Crockett. 

Senior Greta Wayman says she will miss this part of the year. 

“I was definitely sad that football season was ending, and I’ll miss dancing on the field,” Wayman said. “But I’m very excited for the rest of the year to come.”

This is the seniors’ fourth and final football season as part of the team.

“My favorite memory was probably the game this year when the lights shut off, and all the seniors were down with the cheerleaders for like half an hour,” Wayman said. “It was really fun to be on the actual sidelines and watch the game from there as well as get to spend time with Mary Mae and the other cheerleaders.”
 
While this isn’t Wayman’s last performance as part of the team, it was her last field performance alongside the band. 

“I’ll miss performing and cheering the most for sure,” Wayman said. “I’m not that big into football but especially senior year I feel like you get more invested in the game and of course performing is always such a rush.”
