This moody powder room designed by @ellie_christopher, perfectly styled by @kathleen_varner and beautifully captured by @mary_margaret_smith couldn’t be more handsome! Ellie used a gorgeous blue and brown color palette that combines dark shades with lighter tones in the wallpaper to create a rich space that doesn’t feel heavy. She effortlessly paired a gorgeous antique mirror with classic but updated cabinets. A quality of particularly talented designers is their ability to design homes of all styles to create elevated spaces that are unique to each client, and it is evident in her work that she has that distinction. She tells her clients “I don’t believe in cookie cutter design. You’re not like anyone else, and your house shouldn’t be either.” Based in Birmingham Alabama, Ellie Christopher creates layered spaces with a playfully refined elegance, thoughtfully designed to suit both the functional and aesthetic needs of her clients. The refined and sophisticated interiors that she creates maintain a sense of ease and comfort. Inspired by her Southern upbringing, Ellie utilizes her understanding of design history to look toward the future - finding innovative ways to address the needs of our evolving lifestyles. Her designs speak eloquently to time, place, and personality.
