🏳️‍⚧️ This Trans Awareness Week, we’re reflecting on the strength, creativity, and courage of trans individuals who continue to inspire us every day.

We’re so proud to honour trans Jewish icons like:

Claude Cahun - A revolutionary artist and writer who challenged gender norms through art and words: “Under this mask, another mask. I will never be finished removing all these faces.”

Kate Bornstein - A trailblazer in trans advocacy and queer theory, encouraging us to live authentically: “Do whatever it takes to make your life more worth living, just don’t be mean.”

Karl M. Baer - A pioneering voice for self-determination and identity: “I introduced myself as a man never as a woman. What am I really?”

Their words and lives remind us how far we’ve come—and how much work is still ahead to create a world where everyone can thrive as their true selves. We are committed to creating safe spaces for trans Jews to exist as their full selves, and continue to contribute to the rich tapestry of diversity in our communities.
