#DidYouKnow: Youth are THIRTY-SIX more times likely to die by suicide in an adult jail than in a youth detention facility? Coupled with this past spring's #LowerTheAge bill, which criminally prosecutes 17-year-olds as adults for any crime, SB 2 makes things drastically more harmful for #Louisiana's children by creating the pathway for any child to be transferred to adult court for any offense (this could include common adolescent misbehavior like graffiti or shoplifting).⁠
