Senior running back Mitchell Butler is one of 36 Texas 5A high school running backs to be nominated for the Texas HS Football 2024 All-Texas team. The top three vote getters on Nov. 26 at 8 p.m. will make the All-Texas team.

Butler had a historic year at the running back position. He tallied more than 1,435 yards from scrimmage.

He rushed for 1,115 yards on 131 carries for an average gain of 8.5 yards per carry. He also scored 20 touchdowns. Butler also tallied 310 receiving yards on 21 receptions with one TD catch.

The Top 3 running backs in this poll will be named to the 2024 All-Texas Team. They will be featured on the Texas HS Football website and in the Texas HS Football magazine.

Your vote could help Mitchell earn recognition another way. The top 20 players in average votes per day throughout all of the division polls will be included in the Player of the Year poll. So every vote you cast (and you can vote as often as you want) can help Mitchell be an 5A All-State running back or qualify for the overall Player of the Year poll.

He has been a key player this year and in year’s past, so consider helping him earn statewide recognition with a vote or votes in this poll.

You can cast your vote by clicking on the “VOTE FOR MITCHELL” link in our bio.
