Bittersweet last match in Bartels ❤️thank you bigredvb cornellsports for the most transformative 4 years. 14 year old Syd, who picked up a volleyball for the first time ihavolleyball, is beaming with pride. Thankful for all of the challenges that have made me the woman I am today. Thankful for the good times & the ability to live out my dream. Thankful for my village, all of the people in these photos & so many more, who supported me throughout these last 4 years+ 

While I have decided that this will not be my final season of collegiate volleyball, I struggled with anxiety  about my future transition from athletics throughout this senior season & I know I’m not the only one… On this 2023 Day of Giving I would like to highlight thehiddenopponent, an accredited nonprofit and advocacy group that raises awareness for student-athlete mental health and addresses the stigma within sports culture.
