For a million reasons, GO SEE THE PIANO LESSON, yes I’m in it, but this film marries both stage play x cinema seamlessly through Malcolm’s unique vision x sensibility. The Piano Lesson establishes him in his own lane as a director x cements his imprint as a legend. He is the director to work with, study x award! The incentive is getting a front row seat to witness the best actor of our generation be obedient x meticulous in her artistry. Danielle encapsulates Bernice with a gravity, you can’t help but applaud. Her performance lingers with us long after her scenes conclude x when she’s right back on screen, we’re anxiously engaged knowing each Deadwyler moment will supersede the previous.
