More than 160 alumni gathered for this milestone event, which was more than just a walk down memory laneβ€”it was about building a brighter future for LHS graduates. The Class of 1974 is working toward raising $40,000 to endow scholarships in perpetuity, providing four $500 awards annually to deserving Lowell High School seniors. Thanks to the generosity of classmates and a $10,000 matching gift from UMass President Marty Meehan (an LHS β€˜74 graduate), they’ve already raised $20,000!
