💲Pre-registration ($40) required

Tryouts are for players age 18 and older. Tryouts for Steel City Academy will be held in the Spring.

Key Characteristics

🎯League play - including promotion/relegation - in the 35-team, 7 state Midwest Premier League, generally considered amongst the country's most competitive regional leagues.

🎯Single-elimination tournament play in the national amateur cup and Illinois state cup.

🎯A competitive club environment that has seen four players sign professional contracts in the past four seasons.

🎯Personalized approaches to player development, including communication with college coaches and load management through July, if necessary.

🎯High character teammates that value the collective over themselves. Steel City has a high player retention rate. 

🎯Entertain the community. Few minor league soccer teams in the country draw Steel City-type crowds.

🎯Career counseling and job placement assistance from white-collar executives that run the club.
