Do you understand and practise consent? Consent is not only important, but the law.⁣ ⁣

Everyone has a responsibility to seek consent before engaging in and during sexual activity. Understanding affirmative consent is the first step in having better conversations about sex and consent. ⁣
 ⁣
Affirmative consent requires people to explicitly agree to certain activities by either saying “yes” or using physical gestures, like nodding, to let the other person know they’re comfortable with that action. ⁣
 ⁣
And it’s not just for new or casual relationships, it's for every relationship – even decades-long. ⁣
 ⁣
Consent can also be given or withdrawn, at any time, for any reason. 
 ⁣
If you are concerned about something that has happened to you, it’s never too late to report to police. ⁣
 ⁣
