Here’s the photo project from the last Big Friendly meet! Thanks to the help of Jeff Merrill & Portland Track I was able to do a quick 1 minute photo session in between the races. Read about the athlete’s take on the meets. ⁣

My personal experience with the Big Friendly Series started with scepticism and grew into ecstatic appreciation. I went from, should we be doing this? To- oh yeah, we can definitely do this. To- oh wow, we did that and it was so important we did. ⁣
⁣
I had my mind wrapped around a summer of timed trials with my teammates. That would have been fine but in hindsight would have limited what I was able to get out of my first season with the Littlewing team. I joined the series for the BF2 at the McKenzie Track. The whole atmosphere was quiet and secluded, intense and hype. Which remained for the following BF's while the camaraderie and familiarity grew. I experienced the trials and tribulations that would have accompanied a normal season, and I am coming out of this unprecedented summer having gained appreciation towards the good work of PDX Track and the bigger team that exists in track and field.⁣
