## Caption

“I was at church a couple weeks before school started, and I overheard a member of our church telling his testimony of how he met the Lord - through a series of events he asked God to show him He was there. Right after he prayed, he went to check his mail and inside was a CCU pamphlet that had the Gospel on it, and right then, he gave his life to the Lord.

After I heard that story, I looked CCU up online and something clicked. I committed to CCU right then (regardless of the fact I had committed to a different school in Missouri). I chose CCU because that’s where I felt the Lord call me.

My Sophomore year at CCU, I was an RA for freshman guys in the Row. At the same time my father was battling stage four cancer and was put on medical disability. Because of that, I lost my scholarship at CCU. I was told that I wouldn’t be able to come back for my second semester of my sophomore year. Right before Christmas break, I let my residents know I wouldn’t be coming back - to my surprise they started a GOFundMe in secret. In just over two weeks, they had raised all the money I needed to pay for the rest of my sophomore year!

God's confirmation of His call on my life has been evident every step of my CCU experience. I’m so grateful for all CCU has done for me and how the Lord revealed it was where I was supposed to be.”
