The battle for the top spot was fierce between USA and Team Canada. Lauren and I delivered the fastest overall push of the competition, setting us up for a thrilling ride for our second race

The nine-days in Park City, Utah was grueling, with no days off and multiple athletes crashing due to fatigue and nerves. On the final run of the race, the margin was a razor-thin 0.01 seconds.

We started strong, but things took a turn for the worse in the second half of the track. I gripped the bobsled tightly, preparing for the worst as we careened on one runner (basically like a car on only one tire). Lauren's quick reflexes saved us from tipping over, as she slammed her shoulder into the opposite side of the bobsled to steady us.

Park City's track may be considered 'easy,' but there's no such thing as an easy track in bobsled. The G-forces in Park City were intense, knocking the wind out of me on the first day of training.

Lauren struggled to master curves 11, 12, and 13, just like the rest of the field. We faced additional pressure, lining up behind athletes who had crashed just before us.

Despite the challenges, I drew on the same mindset that helped me overcome fear of falling in the hurdles falls to face my fear head on:

It doesn't matter if you hit a hurdle fast or slow, it still hurts, so I told her "LETS JUST SEND IT" 😈 and that we did.

Proud to stand on the podium with zozzy7 🇺🇸🥈
