"You might ask yourself… “What’s the Big Deal”. Here’s why you can make or break a deal by commenting on a home with audio/video cameras.⁣
⁣
1. Negative comments: Stating the obvious… it’s rude if you know the owners are listening. But the true reason is, if you decide to put an offer in after making negative comments… the Sellers can choose to go with another offer OR negotiate on a higher price.⁣
.⁣
#2. Talking up the house: Stating how much you love the house, that you’ll take it and do whatever is needed because it’s your dream home is a huge NO. The Sellers will know just how far you’ll go to buy their house, ultimately benefiting them as they can negotiate a higher price, not providing concessions ($), and or not willing to negotiate during the inspection period if needed."⁣
⁣
Note – It's worth noting that sellers may have security cameras installed if they're still living in the house they're selling. Always research your local laws.⁣
