🙋🏻‍♀️ Grew up on free lunches.
🙋🏻‍♀️ Grew up with Santa coming to the orphanage and bringing  a gift for every kid.
🙋🏻‍♀️ Grew up with often the kindness of strangers as the only reason we had something.
🙋🏻‍♀️ Grew up waiting in a line for food stamps.
🙋🏻‍♀️ Grew up with a stranger (still don’t know who that was) leaving a canned ham on our porch every Christmas Eve because they knew we didn’t have much.
🙋🏻‍♀️ Grew up feeling the shame, because people treated me differently.
🙋🏻‍♀️ Grew up knowing what it feels like to be stunned when you get a Christmas present.

Stop fighting for kids to have something they need. Sometimes that free lunch is the only meal these kids have in a day. You really don’t want a child to eat so that you can save a few tax dollars? Really? That’s vile! 

I cannot believe I have to try to push people to give a shit about children. That’s where we are. I’m thankful that today after my post last night, my DM’s show me that people do care but fighting against free launches is the most arrogant, selfish shit I’ve ever heard. #DoBetter #BeBetter #HelpPeople
