In 2015, we welcomed a little ball of fur into our lives and named her Maxine. She quickly became my muse, and I shared our adventures on instagram as my creative escape. Life got even more interesting when I decided to take Maxine to work with me on the subway. Day one? A cop stopped us, handed me a ticket, and informed me that dogs needed to be in a carrier to ride. True story. That moment sparked an idea—why not create our own dog backpack? Fast forward nine years, and Maxine has become the iconic “dog in the backpack.” It all began with a ticket, a dash of creativity, and a little help from instagram and the mta. #IGPartner
