🥒🌭🍺The St. Augustine Lighthouse is shaking things up with its eatery called the “Tin Pickle.” This World War II-themed snack bar embraces the 1940’s spirit with unique offerings.

Throw out any idea you have of what attraction food is because this eatery walks to its own beat. Think fresh, like the house-made pickles that have customers coming back for more!

“The rosemary pickle was hands down the best pickle I’ve ever had.”
— Jeannie (Dunnellon, FL)

“I loved this place. I got to try the spicy pickles and obviously, there is a lot of thought that goes into these recipes.” — Jordan (Brandon, FL)

The Tin Pickle is located within the museum grounds in a charming World War II-era Coast Guard Jeep garage. With a name like Tin Pickle you know it’s going to be unique.

The name goes back to WWII and is slang for a submarine or torpedo and, “gedunk” refers to the canteen or snack bar on a large United States Navy vessel.https://www.staugustinelighthouse.org/wp-content/uploads/2024/12/IMGP1334-scaled.jpg

At the Tin Pickle, you can quench your thirst after a climb up the Lighthouse with seasonal refreshments like house-made sangria, watermelon water, local beer from Ancient City Brewing, and even sangria popsicles.

It doesn’t stop there. The oven is always going with fresh baked goodies and don’t miss out on our twisted hot dog toppings. There is always something to delight the taste buds.

Make sure you stop by the Tin Pickle on your next Lighthouse visit. Your admission and support keep the light shining. 💡
