What a semester! There have been so many highlights this semester, but here are a few to recap! 💫

Our students from the Herbert and Nicole Wertheim School of Music & Performing Arts performed with Latin Grammy Award Winning Artist, Yandel! Along with the performance he announced the ELYTE scholarship to support the next generation of musicians at FIU.

The annual 35th Walk on Water and 36th Festival of the Trees was a success! It’s amazing to see how our students apply techniques and strategies in creating their “shoes” to cross the finish line! Students of the School of Architecture were also awarded for their successes in creating a tree that showcased the theme “Design Enchantment”. 

In The Wertheim, our FIU Theatre students composed half of their 51st season creating their first two shows: John Proctor is the Villian and Uncle Vanya. Each night they played sold-out shows in the theatre. 

Students from the Lee Caplin School of Journalism & Media have been working with local climate and environmental reporters to investigate and report on local climate impacts. Hands-on experiences help our students with networking in the professional world of media and the exciting world of environmental journalism. 

Our Art + Art History students participated in Miami Art Week showcasing their projects to other artists and art executives. The second cohort of Coconut Grove Arts Festival Scholarship recipients were also announced - be sure to check back in the Spring as they showcase their work at the next festival. 

Our  CARTA students, faculty, staff, and alumni continue to thrive at #CARTACreativeForcesAtWork! We cannot wait to see what they accomplish next semester!
