I’ve been fortunate enough to announce track meets since 2002, when the former track & field sports information director at @uwathletics took a chance on me along with the @uwtrack coaches to call some track meets at the new indoor facility.

In all my time announcing, I’ve called numerous sub-4 minute miles, several American & national records, but never a world record.

This was the closest I’ve ever gotten to announcing a world record— @rcrouser throwing 75-6/23.01m at the @usatf Throws Festival hosted by @tucsoneliteclassic & @arizonatrack…still one of the biggest highlights of my involvement in this great sport!
