Bernard Lagat (@lagat1500) is the Mercanator Washington men’s track & field athlete of the decade.

In the 2010s, he was second in the 5000m at the 2011 @worldathletics championships in Daegu, finished in the top 5 in the 5000m Olympic finals in London & Rio, won two world indoor titles at 3000m, five @usatf outdoor 5000m crowns, and four indoor 3000m championships.

As a 40 year old, he broke the world indoor & outdoor mile records for his age group in 2015, running 3:54.91 indoors & 3:57.91 outdoors.
