Kara Winger (@karathrowsjav) is the Mercanator Washington women’s track & field athlete of the decade.

In the 2010s, the Vancouver native & graduate of Skyview HS made every major @usatf national team, including four world championship teams and two Olympic teams, only missing the ‘13 world championship team.

She won six national championships in the javelin AND never finished lower than third at nationals.

Kara set the national record of 218-8 (66.67m) in 2010, and was world ranked three times by Track & Field News magazine in the past decade, including last year.

She’s made the finals at the world championships twice, finishing 8th in Beijing and 5th last year in Doha.
