Happy 49th birthday to one of the all time great Seattle SuperSonics—Shawn Kemp. During his time with the Sonics, he was one of the most exciting forwards in the @nba . He teamed up with @gary.payton.20 and took the Sonics to the 1996 NBA Finals where they ran into Michael Jordan & the Chicago Bulls.

I had the privilege of covering the Sonics in the late 1980s through the early 1990s, and learned a lot about sports photography from shooting NBA games.
