Steamy Lit’s expansion is an exciting addition to Tampa’s literary scene. Dedicated to amplifying voices of women romance authors of color and non-binary or genderqueer authors, the bookstore creates a space that celebrates self-love and open discussions on sexuality.

Founded by romance enthusiast Mel Saavedra, Steamy Lit’s roots are personal. “I am a proud Latina, Navy Veteran, and dog mom,” writes Saavedra. “I’m also an avid reader of steamy romance.“

Steamy Lit shares a space with shopprocuretpa. Procure is a fabulous shop that features locally-made  goods from women-owned businesses.
