What followed was an unforgettable journeyโ€”academically rigorous, physically intense, mentally demanding, and absolutely inspiring, I loved every single moment! The 292nd Session of the National Academy brought together 257 extraordinary women and men from 48 states, the District of Columbia, Guam, and 27 countries. While I did not frequent the infamous Boardroom (IYKYK), I could not resist making a couple of cameo appearances. One highlight?! Karaoke Night. Wearing a silver bedazzled cowboy hat I sang Tennessee Whiskey by Chris Stapleton and that spontaneous performance led to an incredible honor, singing the National Anthem for our Law Enforcement Memorial AND graduation! Another highlight was participating in the International Partnership Program, which paired me with an international roommate. Bintou and I cultivated a beautiful friendship and had some amazing experiences that have certainly made us life-long friends. She and the other 26 international students enriched my journey I am grateful to count them as friends too. Less than 1% of law enforcement professionals have graduated from the FBI National Academy. Representing the FBI - Atlanta Field Office, along with seven other law enforcement executives, and the Fulton County Sheriffโ€™s Office, was an incredible honor. I can proudly say I am a graduate of the 292nd Session of the FBI National Academy having successfully earned a graduate certificate in Criminal Justice from the University of Virginia and conquering the iconic Yellow Brick Road, a grueling 6.1 mile obstacle course on the Marine Corps Base Quantico.
