A study coauthored by campus associate professor of political science Andrew Little has found experts tend to favor pessimistic predictions on future political events.

Out of 82 events, 73 were deemed “unambiguously negative,” such as “disputes over the election results escalate to political violence in which more than 10 people are killed nationwide,” according to the report. The surveys are fielded from 2020, 2021, 2022 and 2024, Little added.
