Mia Gamarra ’26, an international business and Spanish major from Itauguá, Paraguay, had the time of her life studying abroad in Madrid this semester with the Trinity in Spain program.

The Trinity in Spain program is a faculty-led program that takes place every fall in Madrid. Students immerse themselves in Spanish culture by living with a host family, taking all their classes in Spanish, interning with a Spanish company, and taking field trips to different parts of Spain.

“Studying abroad in Spain was the best decision I ever made. I fell in love with the vibrant culture, exploring new cities, and visiting world-class museums,” Mia says. “And having the opportunity to intern with Madrid Easy, a housing solution company, was a unique privilege, allowing me to gain invaluable skills and insight into an international work environment.”

Mia believes students should take the chance to step out of their comfort zone and explore the world. “It’s an experience that will broaden your horizons, challenge your perspectives, and leave you with lifelong memories,” she says.
