Not long to go until we'll be winding down for the year - so, as tradition dictates (by which I mean we did this last year) here are the Dead Ink Books: Books of the Year 📚

Harriet is Dead Ink's Publishing Manager - if you've fallen in love with a DI book from this past year, there's a good chance you've got Harriet to thank for it - and when she's not commissioning, editing,  collaborating, pitching, and working tirelessly through submissions, she's been a fierce proponent of brat summer (Buying books, Reading, At the bookshop, Tucked into bed (reading)). Her book of the year is ALL FOURS ✨ by Miranda July

"Cathartic, humorous, feral, disgusting, unhinged... I can't stop going on about this book. It's acerbic and morose and it made me feel itchy all over. I like how Miranda July alternates between saying the most profound thing in the world to the most depraved, dragging us all along after a ball of chaos who is making some of the worst decisions known to man. How this adds up to such a reassuring and healing novel, I'm unsure, but all I know is that by the end of it I no longer feared aging and felt ready to kick down a door."
