NOLA Day 2! 🦪🥂🎂

What’s a Saturday without brunch? To start our second day, we went to Copper Vine which was amazing! We ordered the creole shakshouka, creole tomato sandwich with shrimp, and cochon de lait grits along with mimosas. They also gave us beignets for my birthday!

After brunch, we stopped at Fourth Wall for lattes. We’re big coffee girls so trying a local spot was a must. All of our lattes were delish, especially the specialty maple latte. 

We spent the afternoon exploring and touring The Sazerac House. For lunch, we stopped by Royal House Oyster Bar and sat on the second story which had a lovely view. Clare and Olivia ordered on the half shell oysters and chargrilled oysters. I tried my first oyster (the chargrilled one) which was exciting! Unfortunately, oysters aren’t for me but I did enjoy the toast it came with. 

Our next stop was the famous Napoleon House. Olivia and I ordered the Pimm’s flight while Clare ordered the Bourbon Milk Punch. We sat on the cute patio and enjoyed our yummy drinks while chit chatting. One of the employees started talking to us and brought samples of their frozen pomegranate Pimm’s cup which was soooo good! I think it was my favorite drink from the whole trip. 

For dinner, we left the French Quarter and went to Superior Seafood. This restaurant was so cute and we had the sweetest server. Clare ordered the crawfish bisque and salmon salad. Olivia and I both ordered the catfish napoleon which I’m still thinking about. We ended dinner with a delicious birthday carrot cake. 

After dinner, we of course had to go to Bourbon Street. If you’ve never been, it’s definitely an experience but very fun to people watch. We decided to try “New Orleans Most Powerful Drink” aka the hand grenade. We took the drink to-go so we could walk the rest of the street and ended up sitting on a balcony to enjoy the view. 

Day 2 of our trip was absolutely amazing! Wish I had a pomegranate Pimm’s right now!
