Just like on the field, reliability and teamwork are the keys to success. 💪 Georgia Power lineman James knows a thing or two about reliability. After serving in the Army for 30 years, James retired and decided he wanted another role that provided service to his community. 👏

We teamed up with Georgia Power to ask James about what it was like being a lineman during Hurricane Helene, the most destructive storm in Georgia Power’s history. He talked about the shock he felt walking into Augusta, but the need to work to get the lights on for Georgians. ⚡️ James talked about how he could not have gotten the job done without his senior linemen stating, “It’s important to be your Brother’s Keeper. I knew that our senior linemen had my back and were going to make sure we got the job done right. That’s what it means to be on the crew- it means that you work as a team to keep energy in Georgia reliable.”

We are proud to honor heroes like James for his dedication to getting the job done, his team, and Georgia. #SalutingThePowerOfService
