## Caption

What’s in a nose? That which we call a nose, by any other name... would it smell as sweet? If a nose on a Greek bust has been damaged, is it still a nose? Shakespeareans please get on this 👃 

Artist @bdenzer recent project of counting every nose in every gallery at the museum explored questions of labels, subjectivity, and interpretation. How do labels serve us and what do they remiss? What makes something what it is? 

The final count was 2,732 noses, but perhaps that number, like all else, is up to interpretation.
