LVMH-backed L Catterton has quietly acquired a majority stake in Kapital 👀

The move appears to be part of L Catterton’s broader strategy to expand its presence in Japan. While L Catterton, majority-owned by LVMH, lists Kapital under its “Majority Investments” alongside Birkenstock, Ganni, and APC, LVMH itself does not directly own Kapital. Instead, its stake is held indirectly through L Catterton.
