A cold front approaches Colorado from the northwest late Wednesday, and will bring us big changes for the morning commute tomorrow. 

The 9NEWS Weather Impact Team has issued a Weather Impact Day for the first half of Thursday because of the potential for snow during the morning commute along with wind and cold and potential icy conditions.

We will likely see snow start after about 4 a.m. The heavier snow falling south of the metro area. Around Denver, the light snow should continue off and on through about 11 a.m. We should get some good breaks in the snowfall during the morning hours, but temperatures will remain below freezing all day long, so the snow that falls won't be fast to melt.
