🐦 Bird Safety Project Alert! 🐦

Big news from #Libertyville - lakecountyil  has stepped up for birds in a major way! Their Central Permit Facility just underwent a bird-friendly transformation, with Feather Friendly Large-scale Pro markers being used to treat a portion of the building’s glass.

Lake County’s efforts are a game-changer and set to save countless bird lives annually. 🦉

Following the incredible success at Chicago's McCormickPlace , where a 95% reduction in bird strikes has been reported by the Fieldmuseum , there has been a surge in Feather Friendly projects across Chicago and beyond.

All of these projects share the same commitment: making the built environment safer for wildlife.

Kudos to Lake County’s leadership, including County Board Chair sandyhartlakecounty  and senior planner Taylor Gendel , for prioritizing these affordable, scalable solutions.
