35 million streams on HOME 🏠 

I’m sitting here on my honeymoon with the man I call home .. thinking about all the different lives and places I’ve called home. 

Home is such a wild and vulnerable concept. I ran away from home when I was younger - trying to find a place or people that would understand me. 

I now know home is about so much more than the place you’re born or the family you’re born into … it is so much about the space that you create. The world that you inhabit. 

For queer people - or anyone who is “different” from the rest - it’s something you are forced to find. It can feel like the world is closing in on you until you let yourself be seen. And this is a continual process. Coming out isn’t a one time solution. 

I don’t know if I can fully capture the joy and gratitude I feel for this song that has reached so many people. They say you will get sick of your “hits” but I don’t write hits. I write what I desperately need to say. I sing what is in my soul. And this is exactly the message I’ve longed to share. 

Thank you to nicholaspetricholas for singing this with me on jimmykimmellive and at lollapalooza - for walkthemoon joining and amplifying this song gave me my first radio journey.
