Congratulations to the student-athletes of the week! 📚

🏒 aidenfink registered the 14th hat-trick in Penn State history on Friday night leading pennstatemhky to a 4-0 victory over Canisius. It marks the second hat-trick of his career as he becomes the first Nittany Lion in program history to register multiple hat-tricks in a career. Fink is also now the only Nittany Lion to begin his career with back-to-back 30+-point seasons and becomes just the seventh all-time to have multiple such seasons. The hat-trick pushed his point-streak to a new career-long of seven while giving him his second multi-goal game of the season and the fifth of his career while also marking his eighth multi-point effort of the season and the 17th of his career. With 31 points Fink currently ranks fourth in the bigten and tied for fifth nationally while his 14 goals are also good for fourth in the Big Ten and tied for sixth nationally. Fink is currently second in the Big Ten and third in the nation averaging 1.41 points per game.

🏃‍♀️ hayleykitchingg burst onto the scene in her third season with pennstatetfxc, clocking the third-fastest indoor 1,000m ever run by a collegian on a 200-meter track in her run on Saturday at the Nittany Lion challenge. She completed the five-lap race in 2:39.86, becoming one of five collegians in history to go sub-2:40 on a regulation oval. Kitching’s time won the race by over three seconds and ranks first in the NCAA this season. The Australian middle-distance star is still second in Penn State history in the event behind collegiate record holder Danae Rivers, whose 2:38.58 from 2021 still stands as the fastest collegiate mark of all time. Kitching also came back and ran the second leg of Penn State’s 4x400-meter relay team that clocked a 3:40.35, the 29th-fastest time in the NCAA so far this season.
