Coming to The Grand Palais: the 2017 X-raid BMW MINI John Cooper Works Buggy, winner of the 2021 Dakar Rally with Stéphane Peterhansel, the legendary 14-time Dakar champion, at the helm. With three Dakar entries, including a victory and a podium finish, this chassis (0009) stands as a testament to endurance and precision engineering. Eligible for future rally raids and offered with its FIA passport and German registration document, it is a rare and remarkable piece of motorsport history.

The Dakar Rally, born in 1978 from Thierry Sabine’s vision, has long been a proving ground for the world’s top drivers and manufacturers. Mini, under X-raid’s guidance and supported by BMW, dominated the event with six wins between 2012 and 2021. This particular buggy, powered by a 3.0L turbo-diesel BMW engine with 367 hp and 800 Nm of torque, features a carbon/Kevlar body and advanced drivetrain technology. With victories like the 2019 Baja Dubai and its historic 2021 Dakar triumph, it remains an exceptional machine, still clad in its original winning livery—a perfect acquisition for competition or a private collection.
